Adipurush Movie Storyline
Thousands of years ago, the demon king of Lanka Lankesh received a boon from Brahma, the god of creation, that he could not be slain by gods or demons by day or by night. Elsewhere, many years later King Dasaratha of the kingdom of Ayodhya exiled his son, Raghava, for 14 years. Raghava accepted exile and moved to the forest of Panchabat along the river Godavari along with his wife Janaki and brother Rishi.

Lankesh’s sister, the demon Shurpnakha, tries to persuade Raghav to marry her and take Janaki’s life, but fails, as the sage cuts off Shurpnakha’s nose. Hearing his sister’s insult, he sends one of his roosters disguised as a golden deer to distract Raghava and Rishi. After hearing about her beauty from Shurpankha, Lankesh proceeds to kidnap Janaki.
Raghava and Sesha set out to free and rescue Janaki with the help of Banaraja, Sugriva, his allies, Jambavan, Angad, Bajrang, and Banarasena. Raghav asks Bajrang to go to Lanka and instill confidence in Janaki, about his arrival in Lanka. He flies to Lanka and informs Janaki of his imminent rescue. He was caught by Lankesh’s son Indrajit. His tail is set on fire by him, but Bajrang proceeds to fly and destroy a portion of Lanka before returning to Raghava and Banarasena.
The second attack is led by Shesh, Vibhishan, and Anga to kill Indrajit. Shesh proceeds to attack Indrajit; Although he stabs her, she successfully kills him. Both attacks succeeded in overwhelming Lankesh’s army. The third attack begins when Kumbhakarna wakes up from his deep sleep. Raghav and Shesh successfully kill him when he defeats Bajrang. Left with no other option, Lankesh decided to enter the battlefield.
The final battle takes place where Raghav manages to subdue and kill Lankesh, after realizing that Lankesh can only be killed during the day and night; Janaki is freed. Raghava, Shesh, and Janaki end their 14-year-long exile and return to Kosala, where Raghava is crowned as the king of Ayodhya and Janaki as its queen.
